Experienced CNC Operator.

First Shift (MON-SAT): 7:00 am-4:30 pm 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The CNC machine operator produces machined parts by operating a CNC machine (both lathes and mills) while maintaining quality and safety standards.  The CNC machine operator will also keep quality records, perform basic machine maintenance and change tooling.

This is a full-time, hourly position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce machined parts from either bar stock or (in some instances) customer supplied “blanks”.
  • Load machine with work pieces (bar stock or customer supplied blanks).
  • Perform tool changes, tool touch-offs, reset tool count registers.
  • Monitor tooling wear.
  • Perform part inspection in accordance with the particular quality requirements for the part (data is contained in control plans).
  • Input quality data and part production into online business system.
  • Maintain part quality by performing machine offsets.
  • Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
  • Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, initiating repair work orders.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Document actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs.
  • Participate in required meetings and training.
  • Ability to run multiple (similar) machines.
  • Any other related duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up to five years’ experience in CNC machining, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma / GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good math skills.
  • Understanding of basic machine shop measuring procedures (micrometers, calipers, height stands, surface finish gauges, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of blue print reading and GD and T.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

General Labor Job Description

The General Labor machine operator produces parts by operating non CNC machinery while maintaining quality and safety standards.  The General Labor machine operator will also follow written procedures, record production, perform basic measurement skills.

This is a full-time, hourly position.

 JOB REQUIREMENTS and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tasks include, but are not limited to, operating non CNC machinery (die casting machines, thread rollers, black oxide system, orbit form machine), packaging product and labeling product.
  • Input quality data and part production into online business system.
  • Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality.
  • Some measuring required, including part lengths, liquid volumes.
  • Maintain safe operations by keeping work area clean and organized and by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Document actions by completing required paper and/or electronic logs
  • Must follow written procedures.
  • Must be able to lift materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Participate in required meetings and training.
  • Any other related duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Up to 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment operation.
  • High School diploma / GED.
  • Good math skills.
